Description
Picture cottage country - a land of sparkling lakes and lingering sunsets, where great memories are formed and last generations. So vivid and lasting are those memories that they've inspired a four-season lake community in southeast Calgary. Welcome to the award winning community of Auburn Bay.
Lake Living in the city
Auburn Bay offers the inspiration, relaxation, and sense of belonging that you find in a cottage lifestyle with all the conveniences of city living. From the moment you enter Auburn Bay, you instantly feel at home. Featuring a 43-acre freshwater lake with a private beach and park, Auburn Bay is the perfect setting to bring friends and families together to create lasting memories.
Charming Cottage Country Architecture
A landscaped stone entry introduces the cottage-country atmosphere and welcomes you to Auburn Bay. Beyond, a pine, birch and spruce-lined boulevard, draws you towards the lake, Auburn House and the community's charming homes. Cottage country details are the hallmark of Auburn Bay’s architecture. Richly detailed, distinguished by obvious craftsmanship, and a vibrant colour palette that complements the surroundings. Dormers, decorative gable ends, eyebrow windows, shutters, window boxes, cupolas, and roof brackets are all traditional features of cottage-country homes. And they give the homes of Auburn Bay an appearance unique in Calgary.
Green Space and Parks
With an abundance of green spaces, ponds, parks and tot lots, Auburn Bay is exceptionally livable. 13 acres have been devoted to a private park, whose centerpiece is Auburn House – a 16,000 square foot contemporary lodge housing everything a community needs to enjoy being a community. This 900-acre master-planned community will eventually be comprised of more than 6,000 homes encircling the private lake.
Easy Access
With the expansion of the new Stoney Trail ring road just outside of Auburn Bay and Deerfoot Trail, getting in and out of the community has never been easier. Marquis of Lorne Trail also puts Auburn Bay within easy reach of Kananaskis Country and the Rocky Mountains. The shops and services of 130th Ave, Cranston Market and McKenzie Towne's High Street are all minutes away. And the new Calgary South Health Campus hospital as well as a major shopping area will be located just south of Auburn Bay, in Seton.
Schools
There are five future school sites designated in the community. Both school boards, the separate and public boards will decide when those schools get built.
